Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy Represents UNODC in Customs Workshop in Oman

We are honored to share that Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, Advisor to the Public Prosecution Office and Senior Cybercrime and Cybersecurity Consultant at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the President of ISSA Egypt, represented the UNODC in a specialized capacity-building workshop delivered to Royal Oman Police – Customs in Muscat.

The workshop focused on the practical use of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques for shipment and container tracking, demonstrating how these tools enhance customs operations and strengthen efforts to combat smuggling and illicit trade.

This activity was conducted as part of the UNODC Capacity Development Programme for the Member States of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), aimed at boosting operational capabilities and fostering regional cooperation in customs enforcement.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Royal Oman Police – Customs and the Customs Training Centre for their professionalism, warm hospitality, and excellent organization. We look forward to continued collaboration and future joint initiatives that advance regional security and enforcement effectiveness.
