The ISSA Egypt Certified Cybersecurity Network is a professional initiative recognizing qualified individuals in cybersecurity, cybercrime investigations, digital forensics, and related disciplines. This network connects professionals from Egypt and the wider MENA region, supporting collaboration, credibility, and national capacity building.

The network is structured into three professional tiers:

🔹 Level 1: Certified Cybersecurity Associate

(Entry to Mid-Level Professionals – Awareness & Practice Level)

For early-career professionals, practitioners, or alumni with certified technical knowledge and a growing role in cybersecurity-related functions.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 1–5 years of professional experience in IT, cyber, or related fields
  • Holder of a relevant cybersecurity qualification from:
    • LCST Academy
    • BUE Master’s Program in Cybercrime Investigations
    • IEEE / ASK PC Alumni
    • International certificates (CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001, etc.)
  • Working in or aspiring to work in GRC, investigations, security, or risk
  • Demonstrates basic awareness of frameworks (NIST, CyBOK, GDPR, etc.)

Recognition:

  • Issued a Certified Associate Certificate
  • Listed in the Certified Associate Directory
  • Eligible to access ISSA workshops and future training paths

🟠 Level 2: Certified Cybersecurity Practitioner

(Mid to Senior Professionals – Operational & Advisory Level)

For professionals with hands-on experience, advisory responsibilities, and who apply cybersecurity practices in strategic or technical roles.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 5–10+ years of applied experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, GRC, incident response, OSINT, or risk management
  • Holder of an advanced industry certification (e.g. CISSP, GIAC, ISO Lead Implementer, CEH, CISM)
  • Provides guidance, mentoring, or technical consulting
  • May lead training, incident teams, or cyber transformation initiatives
  • Contributor to institutional or public cyber awareness (articles, webinars, workshops)

Recognition:

  • Issued a Certified Practitioner Certificate
  • Listed in the Cybersecurity Practitioner Directory
  • Eligible for expert engagement opportunities and ISSA-led task forces

🔵 Level 3: Certified Cybersecurity Expert

(Senior Leader – Strategic & Policy Impact Level)

For recognized thought leaders, senior consultants, researchers, and advisors with impactful roles in shaping policy, education, or national/regional strategies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 10+ years of professional leadership or innovation in cyber, crime prevention, national defense, or legal tech
  • Leads or advises national or multi-national programs
  • Published author, policy advisor, or recognized speaker
  • Engaged in capacity-building at international level (e.g. UN, regional bodies, judiciary)
  • Founder, strategic consultant, or academic program director

Recognition:

  • Issued a Certified Cybersecurity Expert Certificate
  • Listed in the Expert Directory with full bio/profile
  • Eligible to represent ISSA Egypt in public forums, global partnerships, and high-level engagements
