Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, international cybersecurity and cybercrime expert, United Nations consultant, and founder of the ISSA Egypt Chapter, delivered a high-level lecture titled “AI in Digital Diplomacy” to an audience of foreign military attachés at the Institute for Intelligence and Security Studies (ISSSI) in Cairo.
The session was part of ISSSI’s advanced international engagement program, designed to foster deeper understanding of emerging threats in the digital domain and their strategic implications for national and global security. Dr. El-Guindy’s lecture addressed the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in reshaping diplomatic strategy, cyber operations, and intelligence cooperation across borders.
Throughout the session, Dr. El-Guindy examined modern cyber warfare, hybrid threat ecosystems, and cybercrime trends—integrating real-world scenarios and regional security developments. His insights emphasized how AI-powered technologies are transforming the way nations conduct digital diplomacy, secure their cyber borders, and collaborate on international security frameworks.
As a long-standing visiting lecturer at ISSSI, Dr. El-Guindy continues to play a significant role in shaping cyber defense education and strategy at one of the region’s most prestigious intelligence training institutions. His contribution supports ISSSI’s commitment to bridging the gap between cyber theory and real-world defense application.
The strong engagement from foreign military attachés underscored the growing relevance of cross-border cooperation and technology-led dialogue in tackling global cyber challenges.
