Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy Delivers Specialized Workshop on Media and Cognitive Warfare in Cyberspace


The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) Egypt is honored to announce that its President, Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, Senior Cybercrime and Cyber Consultant at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Advisor to the Public Prosecution Office, delivered a specialized workshop titled “Media and Cognitive Warfare in Cyberspace” at the Arab Organization for Industrialization – Arab Organization Institute.

The workshop addressed a range of critical and timely topics that reflect the evolving nature of modern conflicts and national security challenges in the digital era. Key themes discussed during the session included:

  • Media Warfare and its role in shaping narratives, influence, and public opinion
  • Cognitive Manipulation Techniques and their impact on perception and decision-making processes
  • Cyberwarfare as a modern and increasingly dominant domain of conflict
  • Cybersecurity and National Security, highlighting the growing interdependence between digital resilience and state stability

The workshop provided a valuable platform for in-depth discussions on how information, media, and cyberspace have become central tools in contemporary conflicts. It emphasized the importance of strategic awareness, cognitive resilience, and cybersecurity readiness as essential elements for countering emerging and hybrid threats.
