Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy Proudly Delivers Advanced Training for Law Enforcement Officers in Lebanon

The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA Egypt Chapter) is pleased to announce that its President, Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, has proudly delivered specialized training in Lebanon to Law Enforcement officers from the Financial Crime and Money Laundering Bureau.

The training took place at the Internal Security Forces Academy, where 12 ISF officers and personnel, along with 2 investigation judges from the Public Prosecution Office/Ministry of Justice, participated in a capacity-building program conducted in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The program focused on tracking illicit financial flows using advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques, including:

This training empowers investigators to transform open-source intelligence into actionable legal evidence, reinforcing Lebanon’s ability to combat financial crime and money laundering. The initiative was supported by the Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.

Dr. El-Guindy emphasized the importance of strengthening digital investigation capabilities within Law Enforcement institutions, noting that equipping officers with modern tools and methodologies is essential to ensuring transparency, accountability, and justice in financial crime investigations.
