As part of ISSA Egypt’s mission to strengthen national cybersecurity capacity, we are pleased to report the success of a recent executive-level cybersecurity training session conducted by our President, Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, for cybersecurity professionals from Egypt’s leading banks at the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI).
The session was designed to meet the specific needs of the financial sector — a top target for advanced persistent threats (APTs), ransomware attacks, and digital fraud operations.
Session Focus Areas:
- Cyber threat landscape for financial institutions
- Detection and response to banking cyber incidents
- Application of digital forensics and OSINT in fraud investigation
- Regulatory compliance and digital evidence handling
- Real-life case-based scenarios from regional and international cases
“Empowering frontline cyber professionals in banking is essential for national economic security,” stated Dr. El-Guindy. “We’re proud to contribute to this critical mission through ISSA Egypt’s outreach and capacity-building efforts.”
This training aligns with ISSA Egypt’s strategic goal to support professional development across critical sectors, ensuring that cybersecurity practices are both effective and resilient.
