Larkland, originally from Jamaica, has lived in Silicon Valley and Canada for many years, working for several technology companies such as IBM, Cisco, Facebook and now Google. At Google, Larkland is leading large and complex engineering programs that expands and keeps Google’s infrastructure running optimally.

Larkland completed Bachelors in Computer Systems Engineering, Masters in Information Systems Engineering, MBA in Entrepreneurship. He is a UK Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered IT Professional (CITP) and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (UK)..

Additionally, he works as a qualification assessor for the British Computer Society (BCS), assessing candidates for Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT Professional Credentials.

He is an accomplished Technology Professional and thought-leader with more than 15 years of success across the network engineering, software design, and product management industries. Has immersed himself in the study of strategy which includes taking post graduate courses and learning from former MBB partners about the strategic approaches and techniques used by Management consultants. Has extensive experience executing product launches which him a valuable asset for a business developing its go-to-market strategy or looking to enter a new market. His broad areas of expertise include strategy, product development, project management, marketing, and leadership.

Throughout my career, I have held various leadership positions including System Design Manager at Nortel Networks, Technical Product Manager of SDN Solutions at IBM, Senior Product Manager at Cisco, President of BCS Ottawa Section at the British Computer Society, and Product Management Leader at Lenovo focusing on Software Defined Networking. Currently, he is the Founder of Strategic Technologies, Inc. Larkland has had tremendous success over the years and has served as a key contributor to numerous organizational achievements. He was responsible for developing an exit strategy for a company moving into the research and development space but wanting to keep ties within the technology industry. Larkland developed on the go-to-market strategy for a new software design solution at Cisco that ultimately brought in more than $100M in incremental revenue. As the Product Management Leader at Lenovo, he was responsible for leading detailed market assessments for a new product entering a new market.

Larkland also has an abundance of knowledge in the roles and responsibilities of a team member and leader having worked alongside executive leadership on numerous projects over the years.
