ISSA Egypt is proud to announce that its President and Founding Leader, Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, has been named a 2026 Distinguished Fellow of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) β one of the Associationβs highest professional recognitions.
Reserved for only the top 1% of ISSA membership, Distinguished Fellow recognizes extraordinary leadership, influence, innovation, volunteer service, and lifetime contributions to cybersecurity and the ISSA community.
Dr. El-Guindy established the ISSA Egypt Chapter in 2008 and has led the Chapter for eighteen years, advancing cybersecurity awareness and professional development while strengthening collaboration between cybersecurity practitioners, academia, government, law enforcement, the judiciary, and the wider technology community.
His contributions extend across national cybersecurity capability development, cybercrime investigations, digital evidence, international capacity building, higher education, and public cybersecurity awareness.
This recognition also marks another milestone in a longstanding journey of service to the ISSA community. Dr. El-Guindy previously achieved ISSA Senior Member status and was selected for the ISSA International Honor Roll in 2022.
He is one of only six cybersecurity professionals worldwide named as 2026 ISSA Distinguished Fellows.
