Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, Advisor to the Egyptian Public Prosecution, attended the 6th Meeting of the Association of Arab Public Prosecutors, held in New Alamein City, Egypt on 14th of september 2026.
The meeting brought together public prosecutors from several Arab member states to strengthen judicial cooperation, exchange experience and best practices, and discuss emerging challenges facing criminal justice.
The discussions covered several areas, including:
- Sharing judicial experience and best practices.
- Strengthening cooperation and coordination between Public Prosecution offices.
- Developing specialized training and professional development programs.
- Building professional capabilities to keep pace with developments in criminal justice.
- Discussing emerging issues of common interest.
Artificial Intelligence and Justice
As part of the meeting, Dr. El-Guindy contributed to the discussions with a presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence and Justice (Challenges and Opportunities).” The presentation addressed the growing role of artificial intelligence in the justice system and the challenges and opportunities that come with its use.
The topic reflects the growing connection between law, artificial intelligence, technology, cybersecurity, and criminal justice. As digital technologies continue to change how crimes are committed and investigated, legal and judicial institutions are increasingly required to understand these developments and respond to them effectively.
The meeting also recognized outstanding members of the Public Prosecution from member states for their professional contributions and commitment to excellence.
Strengthening Regional Judicial Cooperation
Cybercrime, online fraud, digital evidence, and other technology-enabled crimes can cross national borders quickly. This makes cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and coordination between judicial institutions increasingly important.
The meeting highlighted the value of stronger connections between Arab Public Prosecution offices in developing professional capabilities, sharing knowledge, and addressing common challenges.
