Cybercrime in the Middle East and North African Countries is one of the fast growing misuses of ICT.
According to my research which published June 2008 in ISSA Journal, I can say easily that our progress in combating cybercrime is very weak!
I think that cybercrime in the region is not exactly the same as other regions of the world. We can see that we have Internet related crimes, copyright related crimes, organized cybercrime, cyber terrorism, activism, and Hacktivism. The problem is completely related to our social, economic, and political problems!
I’m currently working on a new research addressing the progress and dealing with more specific data, analysis, and assessments. I hope to publish it very soon.
