We are honored that our President, Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, Advisor to the Public Prosecution and Senior Cybercrime and Cybersecurity Consultant at UNODC, contributed virtually to the VIII International Conference “Tangible and Intangible Impact of Information and Communication in the Digital Age”, held within the framework of the International IT Forum with BRICS and SCO participation and the UNESCO Information for All Programme.
Dr. El-Guindy participated in the plenary session “Global Changes in Information and Communication in the Era of AI” with a contribution titled:
Cybersecurity in the Age of AI: Securing Trust
Although he was unfortunately unable to travel to Khanty-Mansiysk this year, it was a privilege for him to join this important international dialogue online.
His key message was simple:
In the age of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity is no longer only about protecting systems, networks, and data. It is also about protecting trust — trust in information, identity, institutions, digital evidence, and the wider digital environment.
As AI continues to reshape communication, media, public services, education, and governance, information security, digital resilience, privacy, verification, and critical thinking must be treated as essential pillars of a trustworthy digital future.
We also extend our appreciation to the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Ugra, the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, the Russian Committee of the UNESCO Information for All Programme, and the Interregional Library Cooperation Centre for the kind invitation and excellent organization of this important international event.
